The person behind CheekyFox
Hi, I'm Markét, the person behind CheekyFox Training.
I'm a force-free dog trainer who believes every dog deserves training built on understanding.
I'm particularly interested in emotional regulation, arousal management, body awareness, and communication-based training.
I enjoy helping all dogs who need a thoughtful, science-based, and compassionate approach.
I don't work with "perfect" dogs.
I work with dogs who feel things deeply.
Dogs who become overwhelmed. Dogs who struggle to regulate their emotions. Dogs who deserve clarity, trust, and understanding, not conflict.
Areas I love working in
🐾 Puppies & early development
Helping puppies build confidence, resilience and good habits from the very beginning
🐾 Socialisation & life skills
Thoughtful socialisation that focuses on quality experiences rather than simply meeting as many dogs or people as possible.
🐾 Adolescent dogs
Helping owners navigate the challenges of teenage dogs with patience, understanding and science-based training.
🐾 Emotional regulation & arousal
Helping dogs stay functional, think clearly and cope with everyday challenges.

• Confidence building through positive reinforcement
I care about how the dog feels while learning.
I don't just teach behaviours. I help dogs build the skills they need to thrive in everyday life.
Bull breeds taught me most of that. My fascination with them has lasted for nearly 20 years, and they continue to teach me something new every single day.

Beyond dogs
Horses, goats & new perspectives
Working with horses and goats encouraged me to ask different questions about learning and behaviour.

Horses don't forgive poor timing. They taught me to notice the smallest changes in posture, tension, and attention because they respond to them immediately. That experience made me a better observer - and ultimately, a better dog trainer.
Working with horses and goats also showed me how to engage an animal when the environment itself is highly rewarding, how to work through frustration without conflict, and how to notice the subtle signals that often go unseen. Together, they broadened the way I think about motivation, communication, and emotional regulation - lessons I bring back to every dog I work with.
